The 29th Pocheon Sanjeong Lake Myeongseongsan Silver Grass Festival
(제29회 포천 산정호수 명성산 억새꽃축제 — “eoksae” means silver grass)
runs Fri, Oct 16 – Sun, Oct 18,
three days, around Sanjeong Lake (산정호수)
and Myeongseongsan Mountain (명성산).

Myeongseongsan has a silver grass field
of about 150,000 m².
Sanjeong Lake was built in 1925
as a farm reservoir,
and this year marks
101 years since it was made.

about 30 programs in all.

The theme is ‘Lighting Up Memories with Silver Grass
— 101 Years of Sanjeong Lake’.

From boats moving across the lake,
a story is told through
performance and fireworks
together.

All seats are free, with open seating.

In the daytime, hands-on programs run
all around Sanjeong Lake and Myeongseongsan.

If you book the guided tour in advance
and come on the day,
you get a limited-edition activity kit, one per person
(at the main information center on Sanjeong Lake Plaza).

Join the plogging
and you can also try the ESG roulette event.

On Sanjeong Lake Plaza there will be a rest area,
the ‘Silver Grass Garden Recharge Zone’,
plus food booths.

🚗 Getting there & parking

Sanjeong Lake’s address is
402 Sanjeonghosu-ro, Yeongbuk-myeon, Pocheon
(포천시 영북면 산정호수로 402).

Shuttle buses, road closures
and temporary parking for the festival

Pocheon City Theater Company’s family play ‘Fox Pass’
is a fresh take on
the Fox Pass folktale of Myeongseongsan.
There are two shows: the 16th at 15:00 and the 18th at 16:00.

On Saturday the 17th, the evening runs straight
from the 18:00 opening ceremony
to the concert and the lake fireworks show.
On Sunday the 18th, you can see the family play
and then stay for the evening fireworks.

The fireworks show is on the lake after dark,
so pack an extra layer for the kids.
