A review I paid for myself 🍜
A Chinese restaurant I came across
while running an errand nearby:
Samboseong on Changjeon-ro, Mapo!

I dropped by
a little after 12 noon on a Thursday.
It felt old
and very much like a traditional Chinese restaurant.
🏮 An old-school, traditional Chinese restaurant
Big red letters on the first floor
read ‘전통중국요리’ (traditional Chinese cuisine),
over a long red awning.

Above the entrance:
gold ‘Chinese Restaurant’ lettering
and the hanja sign 三寶成 (Samboseong).
The street sign next to it says ‘Changjeon-ro 32’.

On the entrance pillar
hang a Mapo-gu ‘Good Restaurant’ plaque,
a ‘좋은 식단’ (good meals) sign
and a ‘neighborhood sharing shop’ plaque.

🅿️ Parking right out front

There’s a wide parking area out front.
Green parking bays
with wheel stops in a row.
A note on the entrance glass says:
“If you park over the (line),
you’ll be fined!!”
Please park neatly inside the bay.
🥢 Lunchtime, and it was busy
When I went, too,
there were quite a lot of customers.
It felt like a really popular place!
Your table gets three small side dishes,
a water bottle and a cup.

Three side dishes and a water bottle at my seat
The sides: danmuji (yellow pickled radish),
pickled cabbage, and one red seasoned side dish.

A sign on the wall lists the jjamppong types:

The leftover takeaway container fee
is 500 won (small) or 1,000 won (large).

vinegar and scissors are at the self-service corner.

📖 The menu — so many dishes
The menu cover also says
’삼보성 三寶成 中國料理’.
Open it, and
there are a huge number of dishes.

As of my visit (Thursday lunch, October 8, 2026). Menu prices are only those I could read clearly in my photos of the menu and wall signs that day (rows covered with tape, items with covered names, blurry or hard-to-match numbers and the drinks list were left out). The address and phone number come from Naver Place (checked October 8, 2026); the distance to the station is a straight line calculated from Naver Map coordinates. Translated from our Korean post with AI assistance. Prices and other numbers were checked on October 8, 2026 against the Korean original, which takes them from the menu photos and Naver Place. We did not check for an English menu or foreign-card payment. Original post (Korean)
