Jeju’s signature autumn culture festival
moves to a new main stage this year 🎭

The 65th Tamna Cultural Festival (탐라문화제)
runs for five days,
October 17 (Sat) to 21 (Wed),
around Citizen Welfare Town Plaza in Jeju-si.

It was planned so visitors can enjoy it
together with the National Sports Festival
held in Jeju over the same period (16th–22nd).

I checked the official festival website
and the Jeju provincial press release (October 2)
again on October 10 and summarized them here.

Let's take a quick look first!

🎪 What Kind of Festival Is It?

It began in 1962 as the ‘Jeju Arts Festival’,
became the Halla Cultural Festival,
and has been called the Tamna Cultural Festival
since 2002.

This year’s theme is
’The breath of Tamna, the passion of the Games,
one Jeju’.

This year the main stage moved
to Citizen Welfare Town Plaza,
close to Jeju Sports Complex,
where National Sports Festival events are held.

Across four zones and 16 programs
(Ppuri, Nori, Eoul and Kkumbit),
there are performances, exhibitions, hands-on activities and markets.
