Everland by Day and by Night — Tulip Festival Afternoon vs. Summer Night Opening (Our 2026 Family Visits)
Everland by day and by night — our photo diary 🎡
This year we went
to Everland twice.
A Sunday afternoon, April 19,
and a Saturday night, July 25.

It’s the same park,
but the photos we kept
look like two different places.
So we set the two days
side by side,
in the order the photos were taken.
What we rode, how long we waited —
we only wrote down
what the photos show.
🌷 April 19, the tulip street
We only have four photos from April,
and the first one
tells the whole day.
A row of European-style buildings
with steep, pointed gable roofs,
and in front of them, a flower bed
of tulips mixed with yellow flowers.

4:24 pm — European-style buildings lined up beyond the tulip beds
A sign in front of the beds said
“Big-scale Tulip Field,
DIVE into the tulips~”
The 2026 Tulip Festival ran
March 20 – April 30.
Our visit on April 19
was about ten days before the end,
so the beds were still packed with color.

6:13 pm — a blue cotton candy, and long shadows on the ground
About two hours later, at 6:13 pm,
one of our kids walks along
with a blue cotton candy.
Judging by the long shadows,
the sun was starting to go down.
That’s where our April record ends.
🌙 July 25 at night, a dome lit up
From July, we only have night photos.
The first one is from 8:28 pm.
From July 24 to mid-August,
Everland stayed open until 11 pm
on Fridays and Saturdays
for its night opening.
Saturday, July 25
was the very first weekend.

8:28:28 pm — the dome and spire lit in pink, with the moon above
A building with a domed roof
and a slender spire
glows in pink light,
with the moon hanging above it.

10 seconds later, 8:28:38 pm — the same building in white light
But 10 seconds later, the light was white.
The colors seem
to keep cycling.
The white figure at the far right?
You’ll see what it is
in the photo a minute later.
🐑 The 7 m black-faced sheep
At 8:29 pm,
sitting in the middle of the square,
a huge sheep sculpture.
(It’s the very first photo up top!)
A white body, dark grey face and feet,
pinkish ears,
and a gold bead necklace with a round pendant.
A sign at its feet
said “귀여운 녀석들”
(“Cute Guys”).
Behind it you can see two panda sculptures
and a ‘BAO HAUS’ sign.
According to Everland’s official blog
(its May 7 notice),
it’s an art sculpture of a
black-nosed sheep (흑비양), about 7 m tall,
put up on May 1
in the Global Fair area by the main gate.
We couldn’t confirm
whether “Cute Guys” is
the official name of the display,
so we only go as far as the sign.
🎠 9:20 pm, the carousel
Skipping ahead about 50 minutes,
somewhere between 9:20 and 9:22 pm.
Along the arches of the ceiling,
rows of light bulbs glow,
and a golden carriage and white horses go round.

Our kids split up
between the white horses and the carriage,
and soap bubbles
were drifting between them.
Outside the fence,
people were lined up.

The carousel's golden carriage — cropped to the carriage because our kids' faces were in the shot
We couldn’t find the carousel’s official name
or its zone on the official pages,
so we left them out.
🐼 9:46 pm, seen from behind
Back in the square by the main gate.
The two panda sculptures
we’d only seen from afar at 8:29 —
this time we shot them from behind.
They seem to be sitting
with a few green boxes between them.

9:46 pm — the two panda sculptures from behind, the clock tower and dome beyond
30 seconds later,
the black-faced sheep from behind.
The bead necklace
loops all the way around the back of its head!
Put it next to one of our kids
walking away from the camera,
and you get a sense of its size.

9:46 pm — the sheep from behind; next to a person, you can see how big it is
At 9:47 pm,
its face, looking up from the front.
At 8:29 the pink lighting
had turned it all pink,
but at this hour the light was white,
so its real colors show.

9:47 pm — black face, pinkish ears, gold bead necklace and pendant
is in the Global Fair area
by the main gate!
With the lights it turns pink,
then white
Our last July photo is from 9:48 pm,
in front of a disc-shaped bench
with a green alien figure sitting on top.
Our kids are sitting on it in that photo,
so it’s not in this post.
The night opening ran until 11 pm,
but our photos end here.
📷 Day vs. night, in our photos
April, daytime
Flower beds, building colors, long shadows
Not one shot of a sculpture or a light
July, nighttime
Lit buildings, sculptures, the moon
The same building went from pink
to white in 10 seconds
Our four April photos come from just two moments,
while all 33 July photos
fall within 1 hour 20 minutes.
