It’s the season when the area
in front of Hwaseong Haenggung
fills up with autumn outings 🍂

The 2026 Suwon Chicken Street Festival
(2026 수원 통닭거리 축제)
runs for three days, Fri, Oct 16 – Sun, Oct 18,
at Hwaseong Haenggung Plaza

We put this together from
Suwon city’s festival portal,

and Suwon Tourism’s pages.

Suwon Special City hosts it,
and the Haenggung Culture Street
Merchants’ Association runs it.
The festival is free.

👨‍👩‍👧 Going with kids

In the evening, the main draws are
the opening ceremony and concert on the 16th
and the yajang (outdoor dining zone)
on Chicken Street.
Yajang means seats out on the street
for eating and drinking outdoors.

So if you’re bringing kids,
we suggest daytime.
Start with the 11:00 Muye 24gi show
and a palace visit,
and once booth hours are announced,
browse those next.

The Saturday (17th) 16:30 concert
is a show that starts before sunset.

If you’d like to see more of the palace
in the evening, there’s also
the Hwaseong Haenggung night opening:
Fri, Sat & Sun 18:00–21:30
(tickets & entry close at 21:00),
at the same prices as daytime.
